Terms of Use
Last updated: 10 October 2026
These terms apply to the Fundstash mobile app and the fundstash.app website. By using them you agree to these terms. If you get the app from the Apple App Store or Google Play, that store’s terms also apply.
1. What Fundstash is
Fundstash is a personal record-keeping tool. It helps you track spending and income from information you enter or allow it to read on your device. It is not a bank, payment service, or financial, investment, tax or legal adviser, and it never moves money.
2. Your data and your device
Your data is stored on your device and is your responsibility. We do not hold a copy and cannot recover it if your phone is lost, reset or the app is deleted. Use the encrypted backup feature and keep your backup password safe: without it a backup cannot be opened, by you or by us.
3. Automatic reading and AI
Entries created from bank messages, receipts, voice or on-device AI are produced automatically and may be wrong or incomplete. Check important figures against your bank statements before relying on them. Budgets, summaries, suggestions and the assistant’s answers are for your information only and are not financial advice.
4. Acceptable use
Use Fundstash only for lawful purposes and only with messages and data you are entitled to use. Do not attempt to reverse-engineer, misuse or disrupt the app or the website.
4a. Licence
Fundstash is free to use for personal and other non-commercial purposes. The app, its code and its design are licensed under the PolyForm Strict License 1.0.0: you may not copy, modify or reuse them in other apps or products, redistribute or sell them, or use them commercially without written permission. For other uses, contact support@fundstash.app.
5. Third-party services
Optional features rely on third parties: the operating system’s on-device AI and text recognition, exchange rates from open.er-api.com, and the optional model download from Hugging Face. Their availability is not guaranteed and their own terms apply.
6. No warranty
Fundstash is provided “as is” and “as available”, without warranties of any kind, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose and uninterrupted operation, to the extent permitted by law.
7. Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, the developer of Fundstash is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential loss, or for loss of data or money, arising from use of or inability to use the app or the website.
8. Changes and termination
These terms may be updated; the new version will be posted here with a new date. You can stop using Fundstash at any time by deleting the app.
